Research proposals in writing are invited, and candidates should submit their academic record and a brief outline of the proposed work, and consult with the Department. Research areas of interest include, youth affairs, youth work and the sociology of youth work, community development and community work, the Welfare State, European social policy, poverty, juvenile justice and policy in respect of children, women's studies, race, racism, ethnicity, Traveller culture, and intercultural studies.
