MA Community & Youth Work
This is a new two year programme, incorporating the Postgraduate, previously Higher Diploma in Community & Youth Work (HDCYW), which was run over one full calendar year from September to September annually. The programme will mirror the HDCYW, but with two longer placements of fourteen weeks, rather than twelve each, and a considerably enhanced research module and new research project. All elements of the programme including placements will take place between September and June for each year. A degree is essential.
Masters in Community & Youth Work (Part-time, in-service):This is a new three-year programme, incorporating also the part-time in-service route to the Postgraduate, previously Higher Diploma in Community & Youth Work. The programme will mirror the part-time in-service HDCYW, but with a longer placement of fourteen weeks and a considerably enhanced research module and new research project. We believe that this programme, like the full-time route will considerably extend and enhance students’ professional development, equipping them for the issues they face in their daily work. Please note that this programme is only available to graduates already engaged in community or youth work as practitioners on a full or part-time basis.
